Solid surface is a generic name given to this cast polymer material product, produced by combining polymer resins with marble and limestone. Once the mould has been prepared for casting, the material is mixed and degassed in one of our automated casting machines. It is then injected into the cavity of the mould.
Cast solid surface components are 100% throughout and the materials are fused together in the manufacturing process, this has many advantages/benefits over conventional materials.
Many finishes are available including, gel coated, matte, gloss, metallic and textured.
Lamplas are among the largest solid surface moulders in the UK and sit behind many UK leading brands.
As we are a UK based company you can proudly market the product as MADE IN THE UK. We manufacture in sensible quantities to meet your requirements and deliver on a just in time basis, saving you the expense of holding stock.
Multi part tooling allows a wide variety of shapes to be created with more sharply defined details and tighter angles.
Easy To Clean
As the material is non porous and resistant to staining, it is easy to clean and maintain.
Due to the inherent properties of the material, it is more resistant to the growth of bacteia, additives can also be added if required.
Solid Surface uses natural mined fillers binded with high performance resins.
The material is resistant to chemicals and heat and chips/scratches can easily be repaired.
Solid surface insulating properties keep water hot six to twelve times longer than conventional materials.
